Objects have the power of carrying memories across space, time, culture and generations. Soojin Kim interpret’s objects in the languages of art in monumental scale to create an emotional and sensual communication with viewers. Her research is focused on the objects that transfer personal memories, emotions and thoughts.

Kim used her time in residence at Bundanon to focus on extending this very personal subject matter from the personal level to the cultural level.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
