Mend with purpose and gold thread with Rowena and Angela Foong from slow fashion brand High Tea with Mrs Woo.
Borrowing from the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold alloy, this workshop shows you how to practice kintsugi for clothing as a way to cherish and extend the life of your loved garments by visibly mending with gold threads. Rowena and Angela explore kintsugi for clothing as an applied philosophical practice that inspires a slower approach to life.
Please bring a few of your own garments with small holes to mend (this is not compulsory but would be lovely to share during the workshop).
The workshop is suitable for all skill levels, from novice to experienced sewers. All materials are included, plus a take-home Mini Mending Kit for you to continue your mending journey.
