Sydney Festival comes to Bundanon. Join us for a weekend of performances, workshops and talks.

Siteworks 2022: From a deep valley is a series of events that position the artist as a kind of weather balloon, capturing ‘weather reports’ from this place and time. Read more about the Siteworks season (26 November 2022 – 12 March 2023).

A day of relaxed workshops for all ages, providing fun frameworks for thinking about weather, collective activism and the transformative power of natural materials.

PERFORMANCE: The Plant Sensibilia Machine

10AM – 5PM Outdoors, grassy slope – riverside, Bundanon

A large-scale hand-operated dyeing machine that brings the process out of the studio and into the public realm. The project brings together the plants of Bundanon and the Shoalhaven together with the significant Yuin voices of Aunty Deidre Martin and Jacob Morris.

10.30AM – 1.30PM Boyd Education Centre, Bundanon

Experimental performances based on the teachings of Uncle Noel Butler, the work is about learning to read and exist with Country.

CAPSULE TALKS: 15 January 2022

2PM – 4PM Art Museum, Bundanon

Speakers include Distinguished Professor Noel Cressie (Centre for Environmental Informatics, University of Wollongong) and Associate Professor Pauline Jones (University of Wollongong), who will present a series of talks about the social impacts of climate change.
