Lives / Works: Australia

Azul De Monte is a visual artist that works across a number of mediums including sculpture, photography, installation, painting and drawing. Her work explores the expression of organic, molecular and atomic forms.

During her residency at Bundanon in 2013, De Monte developed a body of work in sculpture, photography, installation, painting and drawing. De Monte’s work explores a symbolic world that is expressed through a number of different artistic processes. She describes her work as inhabiting ‘living organisms’ that come to life and interact. Through her works, these forms ‘move, breathe, mutate’.
