Bhenji Ra is a performance and interdisciplinary artist currently based on the stolen land of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, Sydney. Her practice combines dance, choreography, moving image, installation and club events.

Ra worked on her investigation into body centred modalities that centre survival and regeneration.

IN RESIDENCE 2015

During their residency together at Bundanon, Ra collaborated with Justin Shoulder and Nick Wales. Together they worked on developing a new body of work based on the meeting point of three very different practices based in visual arts, performance and sound.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
