Michelle Teear is an Australian artist whose paintings celebrate the vibrancy and character of the Australian landscape and its people. Currently based in Newcastle, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Art & Design in Sydney in 2005.

Teear spent time at Bundanon through our 2020 Accessible Arts Residency. While in residence, Teear worked on her project ‘The Nature of Bundanon’ which involved engaging with the landscape of Bundanon through visual en plein air exploration of the site.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
