Marie Mansfield is a visual artist and art educator. Mansfield has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize and has been a multiple finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, the Portia Geach Memorial Award and the Black Swan Portraiture Prize winning the Toni Fini Foundations Artists Award in 2017.

Mansfield created a new body of work inspired by the surrounds of Bundanon, her work investigates the ‘Appeal of unease’, her aim was to create and develop ideas around this theme by using the unique landscape and it’s human remnants particular to this place.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
