Boho Interactive and Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation

Art Forms: Performance, Research, Visual Art

Residency Year: 2025

Boho Interactive is a collective of artists that work with scientists and research institutions to create games about complex systems. Boho has collaborated with organisations including London Science Museum, Stockholm Resilience Centre, Earth Observatory SIngapore and CSIRO. Boho produces hands-on, theatrical games and workshops that have been presented for museums, theatres, schools, boardrooms, council and community events.

The Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation is an award-winning collective that supports artists and others who are experimenting with adaptive cultural change. It aims to foster creative work that reaches beyond the familiar contexts of art to investigate new ways of acting in the world. KSCA’s work manifests through art projects and meaningful collaborations with community groups and grassroots innovators, including Landcare Networks, regenerative farmers, scientists, sustainability-focused entrepreneurs and schools. Many of KSCA’s activities are based in Kandos in Central West NSW, and engage with farming, Wiradjuri and rural industry communities.

In Residence at Bundanon

Boho Interactive and Kandos School of Cultural Adaptation will undertake a shared residency to learn from each other’s practice of drawing on systems science and community collaboration to create installations, games and workshops about climate adaptation and community resilience. The residency will be structured around networking, knowledge exchange, capacity building and the first steps towards a joint project.
