Deborah Hay is a dancer, choreographer, writer, and teacher. Her work focuses on large-scale dance projects involving untrained dancers, fragmented and choreographed music accompaniment, and the execution of ordinary movement patterns performed under stressful conditions.

A 2010 collaboration between Bundanon, Dancehouse, Critical Path and STRUT Dance, saw Hay take up residence to mentor ten Australian dancers for her Solo Performance Project. The dancers were guided and coached by Hay in a new solo work.

Participants in the project included:

Rosie Dennis, choreographer (NSW)
Georgie Read, dancer (NSW)

Luke George, choreographer (VIC)
Fiona Bryant, dancer-choreographer (VIC)
Atlanta Eke, dancer (VIC)
