Bundanon

Derek Kreckler has been exhibiting since 1977 working across performance, video, sound and photography, examining the transformation of modes of historical avant-gardism into the present. His is particularly interested in hybridity and modernism. He has exhibited in Kwangju, Mumbai, New York and London and extensively throughout Australia.

During his residency at Bundanon in 2013, Kreckler developed new works out of the large resource of images he had built over the previous two decades. He began this process by drawing, photographing and otherwise manipulating the images.
