Diana Simmonds is a writer and teacher, and currently owner/writer at stagenoise.com, a theatre arts website.

Simmonds used her residency to work on a theatrical adaptation of Tom Gilling’s novel ‘The Sooterkin’, a visceral work set in Van Dieman’s Land in the early 1800s. The characters, including a changeling child, are both realistic and fantastical.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
