Garth Paine

Art Form: Composition

Residency Years: 2013, 2011

Garth Paine is a composer who is particularly fascinated with sound as an exhibitable object where the listener can spend time with the sonic artefact so that they feel truly present.

Paine was in residence at Bundanon in 2013 with Simon Biggs and Sue Hawksley. Collectively they worked on developing a collaborative project, Crosstalk, which employs real-time 3D tracking of performers with multi-source voice recognition for speech to text and an interactive multi-channel data driven real time sound score.
