Gary Warner designs and builds unique acoustic instruments, drawing machines and sonic-kinetic assemblages, creates a wide variety of audio-visual digital media, and makes spatial installations and performances with objects, screens and sounds.

IN RESIDENCE 2018

During their shared residency, Barbara Campbell experimented with the ancient metal-smithing technique of repoussé work, while Warner introduced new sounds to the forest, for the trees and creatures to receive/experience in a trans-species act of acoustic cultural reciprocity.

Warner was also an artist in residence at Bundanon in 2008, 2009 and 2013.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
