Bundanon

Gregory Carosi

Art Form: Visual Art

Residency Year: 2019

Lives / Works: NSW, Australia

Gregory Carosi is an artist based in regional NSW. His practice creates immersive experiences that grapple with the wider environmental, consumerist and existential anxieties of the contemporary world, while elaborating the essential humanism of painting as an emotive, intellectual art form.

Carosi used his residency to investigate how people move through and interact with built and natural environments. Carosi explored the Bundanon site and recorded the ways in which topographical features influence walking patterns and visual reading paths. Carosi’s work culminated in a solo exhibition at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, titled ‘Dead Reckoning’.
