Jessica Olivieri is a mix media artist based in Sydney. Her recent collaborative activities include the co founding of the feminist performance group, ‘Parachute for Ladies’. Jess creates work that spans performance, sound, video, dance and installation. Her practice investigates the social and cultural factors that influence how we inhabit space.

IN RESIDENCE 2016

Whilst in residence together at Bundanon, Bronia Iwanczak with Maria Miranda, Dr. Jacqueline Millner and Jess Olivieri experimented with new materials and feminist approaches to nature in response to Bundanon’s unique and specific environment.

Olivieri was also in residence at Bundanon in 2013.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
