THE RABBLE (Kate Davis and Emma Valente) was formed in 2006 from a desire to make work that was visually ambitious, political, feminist and formally experimental. THE RABBLE points to subterranean feminist concepts in iconic stories from folklore and literature.

Whist at Bundanon, Davis and Valente collated and interrogated material into a working rehearsal draft for the presentation stage of ‘Joan’ – a performance work that pays homage to the iconic Joan of Arc. The work premiered at Theatre Works in 2017.
