Katja Handt is a theatre designer, artist and costume maker. Originally from Germany, she trained in scenography at Central Saint Martins College in London and came to Australia in 2002. Over the years she has worked on a wide range of projects in the performing and visual arts, as well as in film and events in Australia and overseas.

During her Bundanon residency, Handt laid the foundations for a new material investigation into sculptural costume within the context of expanded scenography.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
