Bundanon

Marisa Purcell

Art Forms: Painting, Visual Art

Residency Years: 2024, 2018

Lives / Works: Australia

Marisa Purcell’s work asks both the viewer and audience to question their perception. Working in abstraction, language is silenced, resulting in divergent connections that lie beyond everyday reality.

During her residency at Bundanon, Purcell immersed herself in the environment and made large-scale paintings for a solo show, ‘Collision’ presented at Olsen Gallery in September 2018.
