Matthew Sleeth

Art Forms: Performance, Sculpture, Theatre, Visual Art

Residency Year: 2019

Lives / Works: Melbourne, Australia

Matthew Sleeth is a multi-disciplinary artist and filmmaker. He maintains a conceptually driven practice across a range of media including photography, video, sculpture and performance. Sleeth’s work focuses on the aesthetic and conceptual concerns of new media, with a particular interest in tracing the social and political patterns that structure our world.

During his stay at Bundanon, Sleeth used the time to develop a feature film, A Drone Opera, that had been going through a process of ‘visual scripting’, translating well advanced visual material into a written document that will be used to make the film. The film was released in 2019.
