Michele Freeman is a Sydney-based writer, producer and teacher who grew up in Western Sydney. Her work has been published in the Sydney Morning Herald, Daily Life, Meanjin, Overland and on FBi Radio.

Freeman’s residency focused on editing and revising her first novel which explores the tensions within a working-class family from Sydney’s west.

Freeman was in residence through the 2018 Accessible Arts Residency Program.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
