Paul Koerbin is a musician who began performing in the late 1970s in Tasmania, originally playing Anglo-Celtic-Australian folk music. In the mid-1980s he joined one of the most renowned and influential ‘world’ music bands, Sirocco, contributing arrangements, compositions and performances to a number of their recordings. With Sirocco he performed at the Seoul Olympics Arts Festival and the Houston International Festival in 1988. Koerbin performs on many early and folk related instruments from guitars and concertinas to Turkish stringed and wind instruments and early bowed, plucked and wind instruments.

In 2015 he was in residence with Michael Atherton. Together they collaborated on their project ‘Reflecting Dark’, inspired by the landscape and night soundscapes of Bundanon.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
