Tobias Manderson-Galvin is a playwright, performance maker and poet. He is best known as co-founder and Co-Creative Director of MKA: Theatre of New Writing, and for his works ‘The Economist’ and ‘Dogmeat’. ‘The Unknown Man on Somerton Beach’ is a performance text that was originally commissioned by the Traverse Theatre Scotland, and further developed as a part of a Master of Writing for Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts.

The residency provided three collaborators – including co-devisor/co-composer, Kerith Manderson-Galvin, and musician/performer Ben Ely with an opportunity to work on script and song development for this work and also with an eye on future collaborations.
