Bundanon

You cannot NOT look after a place like this – it’s so rare. – Arthur Boyd

Bundanon is the custodian of just over 1000 hectares of land that varies in elevation from 191m at its highest point to below 10m above sea level at its lowest. The land runs from rocky sandstone plateaus, dominated by dry schlerophyll forests, down through wet temperate rainforest gullies to open fertile river flats. The river flats and riparian zones form over 11 kilometres of Shoalhaven river frontage.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.

This website contains names, images and voices of deceased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
