PLAN YOUR VISIT - Discover mythological narratives and stories of migration with new exhibition Land & Sea (2 March - 16 June 2024)

Family Fun Day
Artmaking Workshop

Children and adults visit the Art Museum together and collaborate to create large-format artworks that explore our responses to different myths.

After a guided visit to the Art Museum, participants will come together to explore the huge scale of myths, transforming feelings and ideas through abstraction.

Visitors will respond to a line of text from a range of myths, including those featured in the exhibition season Tales of Land & Sea. The line of text will inspire a large format work on paper using handmade brushes and Bundanon bushfire charcoal inks. This work includes repeated gestural motifs reflecting your interpretation of the text, which are then detailed with fine-line patterns.

This program is designed for 5-12 years & carers.
