Dress Code: Full Plumage
This is not a suggestion. This is a migration.
Come as a bird. Native and endemic species are strongly encouraged. Pigeons will be tolerated. Sparrows will be pitied. Headwear is compulsory. Crests, beaks, crowns of native flora — we don’t care how you get there. We care that you arrive with something on your head. Colour is your friend. Iridescence is your calling. The Ibis understands that glamour is a state of mind, not a tax bracket. Interpretations welcome. Literal costume. High fashion homage. Conceptual plumage. All valid. “I wore a feather boa” is not valid. We will know.
The Falconers of Fashion reserve the right to assess, admire, and ceremonially roast your look.
Featuring

Jonny Hawkins, AKA Aunty Jonny, is a prolific multidisciplinary artist whose work is described as mesmerising, heartfelt, high octane, joyful and totally unpredictable.
Jonny is a mainstay of Sydney’s nightlife, live performances and artistic landscape.
As an actor, Jonny is a graduate of The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Their appearances across film and TV include Mr. Inbetween, God’s Favorite Idiot, The Other Guy and Celeste Barber’s Wellmania. Their career has seen them work with screen legends like Melissa McCarthy and fellow Australian Sarah Snook.
Their recent show, Dancefloor Conversion Therapy, about the importance of Dancefloor culture and the wisdom of the folks your mother warned you about received huge praise and 5 star reviews at Edinburgh and Sydney Fringe Festivals.

Cheryn Frost & Emma Kew are an emerging creative partnership driven by conceptually bold, hyper-queer site-specific work. Their practice is rooted in experimental performance and shaped by responsiveness to unconventional spaces. As a duo they have credits across performance, drag, directing, writing, lighting design, curating and producing and have presented work for Performance Space, Dark Mofo, Biennale of Sydney, Bundanon, Bondi Festival, MCA and The Bearded Tit.
As individuals they are also accomplished artists – Cheryn was the recipient of the Moogahlin Performing Arts First Nations Scholarship for the Queer Development Program 2020/2021, with other credits including Queer Woodchop (Liveworks) and Brolga: A Queer Koori Wonderland (Performance Space). Emma has recently presented the sold-out return season of Notes On A Scandal: Folie A Deux (Qtopia Pride Festival and Kitchen Sink Festival) and consistently collaborates with award-winning production companies Studio Antics and Stage Mum.

Gogo is the drag gremlin that excites, entices and frightens audiences. This bogan was birthed into this reality in 2020, and has slammed themselves onto every queer stage they can find. They’ve performed at iconic parties and venues including HEAPS GAY (Aus), Electric Picnic (Ire), and The Divine (UK), and in 2024/25 co-produced their smash-out wrestling drag event HOLEMANIA at The Tivoli (Aus). Their upcoming third solo work w(hole) again will premier in September as part of BrandX’s The Flying Nun program.

Lorna Clarkson is a DJ with over 30 years’ experience shaping memorable nights (and days) on the dancefloor. With a deep knowledge and love of electro, house, techno, boogie, disco, hip house, rave, jungle and bass; Lorna Clarkson weaves together cross-genre sets that lock into the mood and energy of the room. Lorna is a DJ that selects music for a moment – not for an expectation – and that’s what gives her sets their edge. You never quite know what you’re going to get but you know it will be completely up front and driven by what’s most important – the people on the dancefloor.
