Inspired by the belief that drawing changes lives, the international event aims to promote “visual literacy” and demonstrates the social, economic and health benefits that the universal language of drawing can bring. Anyone can get involved, and organisations and galleries across more than 20 countries worldwide hold events on the day.
On Sunday 19 of January, Bundanon Trust will join the movement and host its own Big Draw event. People of all ages, levels and abilities are invited to come along and take part in drawing activities coordinated by staff and volunteers.
Bundanon Trust has invited artist Gary Warner – renowned for his automated drawing machines and bots – to lead the Big Draw this year, bringing an element of experiment to the afternoon. Participants will learn how to create their own simple ‘drawbot’ and watch it come to life.
