Her recent arts practice and academic research explore the liminal space between still and moving image and the female gaze. Her photographs have won international awards and residencies including International Pictures of the Year Awards, Art Gallery of NSW residency at Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris and the inaugural Alexia Foundation Photography for World Peace grant.
During my Bundanon residency, I will create a new lens‑based work—still and moving images—exploring healing through the form of a cine photo essay. This project follows my earlier work Chemo Decay, made during chemotherapy, and extends into a landscape of renewal. The project will layer photographs, video, sound, and text to reflect the transformation from illness to wellness. Through playful experimentation, I aim to expand the boundaries of the cine photo essay while engaging deeply with Bundanon’s natural environment, where the interconnection of body, spirit, and landscape offers a site for healing.
