Residency Year: 2015

Lives / Works: Sydney, Australia

Carl Manwarring is a member of The Darkened Seas, a Sydney-based rock n roll band formed in 2012. The band are emerging as a genuine act on Australia’s live music scene – solely committed to communicating and expressing their passion for music through the simple act of playing songs. Rooted in the rock ‘n’ roll music of the 50’s and 60’s, and greatly inspired by the timelessness of the blues, sanctioned by the verse and lyrics of the poets and writers of yesteryear, their music is heartfelt.

During their Bundanon residency, The Darkened Seas two core song writing members Carl Manwarring and Alek Cahill worked intensively on new work.
