In Residence at Bundanon

New multidisciplinary work HEAT BODY TERRAIN in its early conceptional stage explores the theme of heat through the dual lens of disability and climate change. The residency will provide the time, space and environment to undertake initial research and experimentation. The work explores the intersections between my lived experience of disability (with chronic inflammatory conditions) and the broader climate crisis – examining both as states of heat, pressure and imbalance.

With collaborating artists Liesel Zink, Anna Whitaker and Alex Craig, we will explore heat as both a therapeutic and conceptual medium, informed by practices of care and recovery. By positioning the disabled body in dialogue with the heat of a warming planet, the work investigates parallels between an inflamed body and inflamed Earth.
