David Varga is freelance academic, screen director, photographer, writer, composer and sound designer. His practice focuses on interdisciplinary uses of moving and still imagery, sound and text.

At Bundanon, Varga continued his investigations into language in developing concepts for a new sound installation work focusing on the musical timbre of speech, as well as conducting experiments for a new series of low-light photographic work.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
