Emily Maguire is the author of five novels and three non-fiction books. Her articles and essays on sex, feminism, culture and literature have been published widely including in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian, The Observer and The Age.

During her Bundanon residency, Maguire worked on her fifth novel ‘An Isolated Incident’, a literary horror story set in Sydney, the Torres Strait Islands and France.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
