Janine Combes has been a professional artist since 2010, exhibiting across Tasmania and nationally at The Australian Metal and Silverwork Award, Contemporary Wearables, Radiant Pavilion, and Profile ’19Australian Design CentreCombes has been awarded two Arts Tasmania grantswas the winner of tidal.20 exhibition and is represented by Handmark. 

In Residence 2021

During her 2021 residency, Combes will be working on a body of work concerned with the concept of terrain – a term often used to describe rough, rocky, unfavourable and difficult tracts of land. In developing terrain Combes will collaborate with Sarah Stubbs to explore and re-imagine this idea of the unfavourable in relation to plants, place and landscape.
