Maura Pierlot is a Canberra-based award-winning author and playwright originally from New York. A former medical news reporter and editor of Australian Medicine, Maura has a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctorate, each in philosophy, specialising in ethics.

Whilst in residence, Maura Pierlot worked on finalising the script for ‘Fragments’, a youth monologue project on mental health. The debut season launched in 2019 at The Street Theatre, Canberra.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
