Sean O’Keeffe

Art Forms: Film/Video, Painting, Visual Art

Residency Year: 2017

Lives / Works: Australia

Sean O’Keeffe is a multi-disciplinary artist who works across a range of media including video, painting and site-specific sculpture. His time based works reference both formal cinematic history as well as the history of time based moving images. The works may be single or multi- channel and often depict a scene or event from multiple views.

O’Keeffe was in residence at Bundanon in 2017 with Carolyn Eccles. They used their time in residence to begin an investigation into their character Glenn Meringuey and the moving image, with the eventual outcome of a short film of ‘rediscovered’ showreels to be projected as part of a larger exhibition.
