Dale Collier

Art Forms: Visual Art, Writing

Residency Year: 2019

Lives / Works: Australia

Wiradjuri artist Dale Collier is a socially engaged, trans-disciplinary practitioner. His work interrogates contemporary falsehoods, nationalistic propaganda and complex Scottish settler & British convict traditions.

Collier’s residency at Bundanon examined the essential elements of praxis (an idea translated into action) within his artistic research. With an intensive writing schedule, field recording kit and a few basic essentials Collier’s residency project was about creating space for new concepts, habits and ideas at the same time as consciously archiving old ones.
