Emily Bowman is an independent dance artist, choreographer and teacher. Her artistic practice is grounded in “Contact Improvisation”, movement research and real-time choreography, where loss, vulnerability and resilience are recurrent themes and her ongoing interest when making work.

Bowman and Josef Lehrer used their time at Bundanon for practice, research and investigation. Their practice is grounded in their base modality of Contact Improvisation, and spans across performance, research, teaching and writing.

Bundanon acknowledges the people of the Dharawal and Dhurga language groups as the traditional owners of the land within our boundaries, and recognises their continuous connection to culture, community and Country.

In Dharawal the word Bundanon means deep valley.
